Ernst Mach Grant – ASEA-UNINET

The CheMIn group located at the Graz University of Technology provides opportunities for research projects in chemical modelling with an emphasis on digital chemistry, chemoinformatics, and computational chemistry. In addition to applying quantum mechanical calculations, the group develops ontologies, algorithms, and semantic technologies for the automated modelling and analysis of chemical processes and the design of new materials.

We are an interdisciplinary team and welcome students from chemistry, computer science, physics,
materials science
and related fields.

Ernst Mach Grant – ASEA-UNINET for ASEA Students

  • Application Deadline: Next call envisioned for March 1, 2026 (repeats annually)
  • Targeted Regions: Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam
  • Opportunities: Engage in short-term research or pursue a comprehensive 36-month
    full PhD program.

Note: While the forthcoming application deadline to the OeAD is expected for  March 1, 2026, we urge interested candidates to submit their applications well in advance. Initiating the application process early will accommodate necessary steps such as scheduling preliminary interviews, developing a detailed research proposal in collaboration with Ass. Prof. Dr. Kondinski is obtaining recommendation letters and securing the required administrative approvals from the host institution.
